Smolczynski Physical Therapy Associates is a husband and wife team of therapists who have provided individualized physical therapy programs for Lehigh Valley residents since 1979. Our therapists have years of experience providing rehabilitation and electrophysiologic testing services.

We treat each patient individually and create custom rehabilitation treatment programs tailored to your needs.  We personally follow your progress from start to finish.

Nikki Smolczynski PT, CCRT

Nikki graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Physical Therapy program in 1977. Her practice has developed specialized programs in the treatment of spinal disorders especially neck and back pain. She has developed specialized programs in the treatment of balance and neurological disorders.

Nikki is also Board Certified in Canine Rehabilitation.

Vince Smolczynski PT, ECS

Vince graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977 and has practiced in the Lehigh Valley since that time. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and is a credentialed Certified Hand Therapist. Vince specializes in the treatment of facial pain, TMJ disorders, cervical spine, neck, and headache disorders.

Vince is also a Board Certified Specialist in Electrophysiology. Physical Therapists who possess this certification are qualified to perform and interpret electrophysiologic tests inclusive of needle electromyography.

Vince also has extensive training in the evaluation of the nervous system and provides EMG and NCV testing in both the office and on a contract basis for physician groups and industries.

Board Certified Electrophysiology Clinical Specialists

Physical Therapists who perform EMG/NCS are board certified as Electrophysiology Clinical Specialists (ECS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).

Board certification requires documented levels of experience and training in a diverse range of medical conditions. Some of the areas in which the applicant must demonstrate proficiency include: anatomy, neuroscience, physiology, clinical sciences, critical inquiry, clinical conditions, examination and evaluation.

Applicants must sit for and pass a rigorous examination administered by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME).
